Of Promotions

When she wasn’t wearing a custom cricket related clothing item, Janvhi and her styling team incorporated the sport in the jewellery that she wore which were designed by Sheetal Zaveri by Vithal Das and Shri Paramani Jewels. This was a really good idea.

In case you missed it, by her own confession, the idea for this theme dressing came from Zendaya and her Challengers press tour where the latter incorporated Tennis into her looks. What I loved about Zendaya’s tour was also her paying homage to some of the tennis greats (here and here ) in a couple her of outfits. We didn’t see that with Ms. Kapoor or maybe I missed it.

Another opportunity missed was not creating a capsule collection with one particular jewellery designer and making it available for sale for all her ardent fans. I have gone to both the jewellery designer’s IG profiles and there doesn’t seem to be any.

So, what did you think of Janhvi’s promotional round?

  1. The pink and white flower lehnga is lovely.
But, and there’s a but, not a single one of those jewellery pieces is nice.

Aren’t the men fully covered in their sportswear? Maybe Janhvi could’ve taken note of that too, this excessive breast spill is atrocious.

  2. Love all the outfits, especially the burnt orange one. Something about these nepo actresses lack originality. Be it Jahnvi or Alia everyone is trying to emulate and chase a formula set by someone else from Zendaya to Deepika/Kareena. No originality just using privilege, access and clout to chase what has worked. When I see them I just go meh.

  3. None of the jewellery pieces except the pearl necklace is well designed . What’s with mixing gold and silver . Looks like the designer just made a bunch of charms mimicking every cricket accessory and threw them in randomly
