My grandfather and his grandfather have been wearing white coords for generations. And many indians still prefer to wear the white coords.
And trust me, they fare much better than the kapoors.
She looks lovely and she is making comfortable, weather appropriate, natural fabric Indian clothes, that are already quite sophisticated, look stylish and contemporary. More power to her!

The roadside chaatwala has the same “separates” as Kareena. Pity his outfit is not designer and his money satchel is not Chanel else he could have been featured here.

I think the comment is about what gets called fashion. It also raises concerns about high fashion appropriating traditional clothing-there is no trademark for them!
High fashion brands often steal from traditional cultural styles- , colour schemes, design elements (often it is, western brands taking from african and asian cultures).
Trust me even they don’t look any better than the rest of us.

It’s OK that your father, grandfather and chaatwala wears such co-ords as well. I m in Europe. Here both men and women wear these monochrome Co-ords. The beauty of these simple co-ords is that everyone within thier budget can wear them. Why are people leaving bitchy comments these days? Hhc is a fun platform. Let’s keep it so. The white coords make Kareena look wider than she is and the length of the bottom cuts off her height. It actually makes her look terrible.
Kareena fares marginally better-that is because of the satchel- colour especially.
The shoes are not helping either of them.

You can rip them off however much you want. I think what is refreshing is that it doesn’t really look stylised to the T, its something any of us can wear, but the best part is there is this superstar glam about them that whatever they wear its just waah 🙂
