At the screening of a movie, Konkona kept it casual in a kurta and pants set from Raw Mango and while I thought the combo was the same as the one she wore here, this kurta seemed more cotton and the other silk. My eyes deceiving me? Help!

First of all- I love this look- more celebrities should opt for casual and comfortable looks!
Second- I think its tussar silk in a matted version vs glossy- again I am guessing.
She is looking fab in this outfit!
The older appearance has a different kurta, a more smooth finished fabric, as you noted. For a second, she looks like Deepti Naval 🙂

The current outfit is translucent – the one from earlier wasn’t.
The previous kurta has a join at the waist. This one doesn’t. It’s plain straight.
