Mamta sported a sari at the closing ceremony of IFFLA 2024 and while I loved the sari, the velvet full-sleeve blouse felt a bit heavy for the cotton sari. What did you think of her sari?

Actually, it doesnt bother me as long as she’s comfortable in it. Weather appropriate or not is another question. The look has a youthful vibe to it.
I would have worn a v-neck or boat neck sleeveless blouse in the same colour. Fixed the pleats and pinned it all up, given the necklace a miss and just worn a watch.
not sure who she is, but there’s a very youthful — more in an unthinking kind of way — thing going on here. the saree — i think it’s a mangalagiri or a maheshwari silk-cotton — is so summery, the full-sleeve blouse weighs in down. the necklace has a bit of a last-minute feel to it, as does the mismatched color of the underskirt — in fact, it almost looks like she planned to wear a yellow saree with that blouse, but it didn’t work out, and pulled on the blue saree as it was handy.
