Katrina In JPG…

..and the JPG would be short for Jean Paul Gaultier and not the name of an image format! 😉

Gaultier still seems mesmerized by Bollywood and Ms. Kaif. We found out that Katrina’s outfit on the Vogue cover is quite old though! Spring 2007 Couture old! In fashion terms that is more than five collections ago (counting Resort, Ready To Wear and Couture)!

Vogue can’t pass old material as new to us! As Amy Wino would say “No No No!”

Pink Is My Favorite Color!

Not mine, of course! It is Divya, whose favorite color seems to be pink! Which is why the leftover material from Divya’s outfit on the left led to the outfit on the right. We are just surprised that the new outfit didn’t have the rhinestone logo effect like the older one! (But then the overdose of pink, quite made up for the yuck factor! Didn’t it?)

Who Wore Gauri and Nainika Better?

Aishwarya in the black, Deepika in the white or Yana in the teal?

Ash @ Lux Promotional Event

Deepika @ Chivas 25 Launch in New York

Yana @ PETA 8th Anniversary Bash

Edit: Can I say how miffed I am that the ladies had to hide the best part of the dress with their hair!! The braided straps on the dress are what make the outfit different, it is just a shame that straps get hidden! But then, neither am I a fan of Yana’s crop!

One In Every Color?

Off late, our actors have been committing a major fashion faux-pas. Wearing the same design again and again in different colors!

After John, Priyanka, Mahima and Mads, we now see Vidya too wearing the same sari style but in a different color!

How long before the concept of stylist comes to Bollywood? We are waiting!

The Ombré Effect

Vidya Malwade wore an ombré dress to the Arjun & Anjalee Kapoor Fashion Show and while she was right on the money where trends are concerned, her dress itself left a lot to be desired.

Ombré refers to fabric (and now, even leather! Remember Prada?) having a dyed, printed, or woven design in which the color is graduated from light to dark and is a big trend..its been around for a bit now and is going to be big for Spring. We saw many designers incorporate the look into their Spring 08 collections!

Vidya’s dress just doesn’t have that clear color gradation, and, instead of the play from dark to light, the color tone stays dark and only varies in the color itself! And that strip of navy/black at the waist does nothing for the dress; the shoes, too matchy!
