Sari Style

Rajshri wore a red and gold kanjivaram sari to the closing ceremony of IFFLA pairing it with a matching blouse and a pearl peshwai nath. I love the sari and I love the nath but I felt the hair worn down made the look too casual. It had the recently graduated from school wearing a sari to my farewell party vibe. The hair tied in a bun would’ve given the look a bit of that formality that was needed.

  1. Yeah, the look is incomplete. Hairdo and a bangle or necklace would have hit the mark. Why wear a super obvious nath but leave neck and wrist bare? The smile and the saree are A+ though.

For the saree choice for the drape and that lovely smile! Thank you for not wearing an ugly overpriced designer garbage

  3. I might be the only one disagreeing here. I think a bun and necklace would have been a lil too much for the event. I like the casual vibe that comes with the open hair and just a watch.
    I like the look.

  4. i think the dissonance is between the formally pleated saree on one hand and the casual hair on the other, the ornate nath on one hand and the bare wrists and neck on the other. i don’t particularly like this appearance.
