Wearing Their Own

We spotted Masaba in a jacket from her collection at a recent event and, Suhani in jewelry, also from her most recent collection. Whether you like the individual pieces or not, got to give props to designers for wearing their own stuff. Who better to be a brand ambassador? 😉

P.S: Suhani is in Kallol Datta 1955 Bulletwound series dress.

Summer White

It’s Summer, which means we are going to be seeing a lot more of white! And these ladies did white, nice n’ casual.

Maria for her appearance wore a white chikkan kurta which she paired with denims and, Masaba paired her tunic/dress with tights, both ladies opting for strappy heels to complete their looks.

Who’s take on white is more your style?

Twice The Not Quite

Two designers, Nishka and Masaba had their collection previews recently to which, making an appearance were Shriya and Manjari.

Dressing well or even passingly pleasing was clearly not a requisite… So many things wrong here. Let’s just say, a fun tee and a great bag were laid to waste.

More inside.

Masaba: LFW Summer/Resort 2010

Masaba, Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2010

Masaba isn’t one to shy away from prints or color and this collection, like her previous one was heavy on both (color and print). The men’s wear and women’s wear that she showed was playful and casual with an interesting mix of prints, colors and textures. We especially liked the hand/palm print in black and white. The jumpsuits with multi fabrics and dresses with hems attached on one shoulder were certainly interesting for the lack of a better word.

Being so reminiscent of her previous collection, all we’ll say is this… it’s great that she’s found her “signature look”, now we hope she just doesn’t fall into a rut.
