In Re-Ceremonial

At the ashirwad ceremony, Vidya was seen in a turmeric colored lehenga from Re-ceremonial. In the past, I’ve loved their white pieces featuring gota work. This one though, am not a fan of. The pale pink color at the border didn’t quite work with the rest of the color scheme and overall, the lehenga seemed more appropriate for a haldi ceremony. It felt a bit dull.

What say you of this outing/look?

  1. Honestly, I am not a big fan of gota work. I associate gota with outfits for God idols.

But I must say that not all of us wear orange only to haldi functions at a wedding. Haldi function doesn’t happen across all Hindu states and subsets.

  2. She looks resplendent and the color is so gorgeous on her!! Loved it.
Through all the functions for this big fat wedding, she has
really aced it in her choice of outfits and has been looking gorgeous yet not in a bride competing fashion like the rest of the brigade is doing

  3. When I was in my growing phase, my mum would lengthen my skirts by letting out the hem, and then when that fabric ran out, she would get fabric and just tack on an extra border. She, having better taste, would get a border that matched. This looks like they tacked on a pink fall to quickly make the length work.
